Paythorne is surely one of the most idyllic Hamlets in this unspoiled corner of rural Lancashire.
The Buck Country Pub is just that, an 18th Century Pub that has been tucked away in this wonderful little hidden hamlet for centuries. Previously known as The Buck Inn and The Palmer's Arms it occupies a prominent position in the middle of this quiet settlement.

A Great British Country Pub nestled in the Ribble Valley overlooked by Pendle Hill in the most Idyllic Hamlet called Paythorne. A Real Country Pub owned by the same family for over twenty years and one of Ribble Valley's

longest-serving landlady and landlord.

We welcome everyone from walkers, cyclist, dog owners and especially families. So whenever you are in the area do make sure to call in and say hello.

Boasting a traditional informal pub atmosphere with some modern tasteful touches, the Buck offers the perfect pint, excellent food and always a warm welcome served with a smile.

Whether you just want a drink, a snack or a great meal, you can be sure you'll get a real family welcome. We take a lot of care in the sourcing and preparation of our food. Much of it is produced locally and our philosophy is to cook good, honest dishes. We make no apologies that we are a pub and you’ll find some fine local ales as well as an impressive wine list in our cozy bar.

Snuggle up to our roaring log fire in the winter, and if the weather turns warmer, why not take a table outside and feast on the tranquil views over this quintessential hamlet and take in the stunning English countryside.

Situated off the A682 between Gisburn and Long Preston.
